Richard Drum took over his father’s cabinet-making workshop in the early 1960s. By 1989, it had been completely converted to an industrial manufacturing facility. DRUM Systeme was taken over by the nolte Group in 1999.

One of the company’s featured products is its transparent partitioning system, which was very favourably received by customers.

The company-owned 6000 m² manufacturing facility in Waldmohr near Kaiserslautern is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. CAD systems are used for design and the manufacturing processes are controlled with the aid of computers. Project orders are received from all over Europe and sometimes the rest of the world.
